Joe had to paint over the "Sam was here." Sam showed up on the door step and completely surprised us! This was the extent of the painting that Sam did, however.....

Sam helped out with lots of other jobs, like taking the doors off. We decided to remove the doors not just because it was easier, but also because whoever did the last painting job painted over all of the hinges, so they needed to be replaced.

This is what our kitchen ceiling looked like once we started to chip off the peeling paint before repainting. We found instead several holes covered by flimsy patches. We decided to have the entire ceiling replaced.

The family room is primed. This room took the longest to paint because it was the largest and had the most edges (including all the doorways in the hallway). Also notice that plastic dropcloths were taped to the floor to protect the beautiful tile.
